A special story from Pastor Aholiab Lozano, a leader of our Amazon Basin gospel workers.

Gospel workers in Peru's Amazin Basin live right among the people they're sharing Christ with.

Southeast of Pucallpa, near Peru’s border with Brazil, something exciting is happening. The Three Angels’ Messages are spreading like wildfire!

In two regions, Yurua Breu and Coshireni, populated by the Ashaninka people, we’ve only just recently opened gospel work. Yet already we’ve seen in these communities an amazing desire among the people to follow the principles of the Bible and shine the light of the gospel to their entire region!

Recently, I was in these two regions serving side-by-side with our gospel workers there. We were teaching and encouraging groups of new believers. And would you believe it, we were blessed to baptize a local chief along with his whole family! Because of this, several other families in his village followed and also decided to surrender their lives to the Lord!

We are now in the process of building two churches, one for each of these communities.

In Coshireni they are just finishing the church along with several smaller buildings. The Yurua Breu church will be done soon as well. We’re so grateful to the local people for donating land and working with us to provide building materials for these churches. Because of this, it has allowed us, with our limited funds, to add metal roofs which will really help the buildings last a long time.

The Amazon Basin is incredibly
open to the gospel right now!

Praise the Lord for giving us the means to accomplish His work! The Holy Spirit is working in the hearts of many people in these remote places. This is something only God can do!

Thousands of Unreached Families

Deep within the jungles of Peru’s Amazon Basin, two gospel workers, Wilfredo and Job, calmly paddled their canoe up a remote stretch of river. Wilfredo and Job were on their way to visit a congregation they’d helped established some time ago along the riverbank.

As they paddled past a home made entirely out of tree branches, Wilfredo and Job felt a strong impression to stop and talk to the family. They were welcomed inside the primitive house and spent several hours singing songs, talking and sharing the gospel.

This year our gospel workers will begin planting churches in three unentered regions! You see, like many thousands of other families in the Amazon Basin, this family has never heard of the saving grace of Jesus Christ!

After making a personal invitation for the family to accept Jesus, Wilfredo and Job prepared to be on their way.

Walking along the river toward their canoe, the mother and father shared how excited they are about the new message of hope they’d just heard. And they promised to attend evangelistic meetings that were going to be held in a nearby village.

Your gift of just $18 will reach one family
in Peru’s Amazon Basin for Christ!

“As we continued on our journey, we thought about our experience and the marvelous plans that God has to reach into peoples’ lives and give them hope,” says Wilfredo. “We are grateful to be instruments in His hand!”

Across the Peru’s Amazon Basin, there are thousands of families who have never heard the gospel. That’s why, with your prayers and financial contributions, Quiet Hour Ministries is able to support a unique program, which sends long-term local gospel workers like Wilfredo and Job to reach these precious but lost people.

With your help, 3,000 families will be reached for Christ this year! Our gospel workers settle among the villages spread out along remote rivers and deep into the jungle. They plant churches, provide basic medical care, offer health and farming tips and above all else, share the story of Jesus!

Last year, through our Amazon Basin gospel workers, more than 750 families heard the gospel for the first time. And more than 200 people were baptized!

But our plans for this year are even bigger. We’re aiming to reach more than 3,000 families and begin work in three new areas that are entirely unentered!

Your gift of just $18 will reach one family for Christ through our Amazon Basin evangelism efforts. Today, will you take the gospel to the deepest part of the jungle?
