Bay of Caraquez, Ecuador

July 17-28, 2013

Bay of Caráquez is a coastal city on Ecuador’s western coast. The presence of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Ecuador is small, with less than 50,000 church members. With an overall population of 14,865,000, this is only .33 percent of the population.  Currently there is only one SDA church in Bay of Caráquez, and there is a need for more to be built.

There is a great need there to help inform the communities about the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Through the clinics (medical, dental, eye), the children’s programs, the evening evangelism meetings, and a church construction, more people in the area will become acquainted with the SDA church and realize its importance to them.

Based on this information and the needs there, plans are being made for meetings in 10 different locations, with children’s programs at each place. Assuming we have appropriate medical, dental, and eye personnel along, clinics will be held at various places in conjunction with the meetings sites. The patients will be invited to the evening meetings. Also, the construction of a much needed church will be part of the project.
