For many years, QHM has had an inspiring partnership with the Tombe Adventist Youth group in Maasai, Kenya. We’ve sent mission teams to work side-by-side with them but in addition, the Tombe Youth have continuously worked hard in their own community to keep the cycle of evangelism going, even when no foreign mission team is there. They are truly an evangelism community!
As they work slowly but steadily to reach out to the ancient and reluctant Maasai culture, lives are being changed every year. In 2019, they baptized more than 225 people, gave away 850 Bibles and are working with 174 more people through Bible studies!
This is your opportunity be part of a vibrant and mission-minded group of people working for the gospel. You’ll make amazing friends, see things you never imagined and create an impact for eternity.
In 2020, a mission team was schedule to be on the ground in Maasai, holding evangelism meetings. But because of COVID-19, everyone had to stay home. That isn’t stopping the work though! The Tombe Youth group stepped up to do the evangelism meetings our mission team was unable to do. They are preaching this year at all the sites where our team was supposed to work.
When you arrive in 2021, you’ll work together to hold follow-up meetings on the groundwork that has been laid. Our international partners are also beginning a church construction project this year that you will be needed to help complete when you arrive. You don’t want to miss it!

Your mission with Quiet Hour Ministries focuses on personal connection. You will serve alongside local church members to minister to precious people in their communities. Your team member donation completely supplies for you to be on the team, so you won’t have any extra expenses for airfare, lodging, food or onsite transportation. But it’s even more than that! Just as importantly, your contribution also increases the impact of the project by helping provide on-site outreach resources, transportation, equipment and more.
Because of your donation, more people will have the opportunity to meet Jesus. You will take home the joy of creating new friendships and building partnerships. You’ll be a witness to the power of the Holy Spirit working in lives throughout the world.
*Please note: All donations must be made by the specified deadlines, or volunteers may face airfare surcharge. We consider all funds received for the mission trip as donations to the project. In order to protect the tax deductibility of your gifts, all donations are nonrefundable. Minimum donation amounts do not cover potential luggage fees not included with airfare, departure taxes/arrival fees, visas/passports/tourist cards or any costs that may arise while traveling to and from the mission location. QHM is not responsible for costs involved with volunteers missing their flights or not being able to travel due to outdated passports or other travel documents. Overnight hotel charges for airline layovers are not covered by QHM.
