Lima, Peru, is an incredible place! There are many interested hearts seeking Jesus there, but here’s the thing—there are barriers between these precious people and their Savior.
The area of Peru where you’ll be working is on the outskirts of the city. The people are not in severe poverty for this country, but they’re not rich by any means. They work hard! “You would not believe how hard these Peruvians work,” shares Pastor Gilberto. “Many of them are day laborers. They work to provide for their families without steady or reliable income, just trying to get by.” Because they work so hard, the people of Lima don’t have a lot of time to attend church or meetings unless there's a personal draw.
There’s also the fact that many people move to Lima from around the country, in search of greater opportunity. This means that they’re not often connected to a strong community. But despite these barriers, there is interest and need for the church to share our faith!
Once or twice a year, church members in the Central East Peruvian Conference do a community project. Since COVID, they’ve been giving out Bibles. They’ve also made little baskets of food and given them to those in need—and the community has a very positive view of the church! Now they need your help to invite the newly connected community members to hear more about Jesus.
You can be part of a team that brings support, encouragement and much-needed momentum to gospel efforts in Lima! Just like in North America, people all around the world are facing discouragement and hardship as a result of COVID restrictions. As soon as it is safe to go, you can help to breathe life back into Lima outreach!

Your mission with Quiet Hour Ministries focuses on personal connection. You will serve alongside local church members to minister to precious people in their communities. Your team member donation completely supplies for you to be on the team, so you won’t have any extra expenses for airfare, lodging, food or onsite transportation. But it’s even more than that! Just as importantly, your contribution also increases the impact of the project by helping provide on-site outreach resources, transportation, equipment and more.
Because of your donation, more people will have the opportunity to meet Jesus. You will take home the joy of creating new friendships and building partnerships. You’ll be a witness to the power of the Holy Spirit working in lives throughout the world.
*Please note: All donations must be made by the specified deadlines, or volunteers may face airfare surcharge. We consider all funds received for the mission trip as donations to the project. In order to protect the tax deductibility of your gifts, all donations are nonrefundable. Minimum donation amounts do not cover potential luggage fees not included with airfare, departure taxes/arrival fees, visas/passports/tourist cards or any costs that may arise while traveling to and from the mission location. QHM is not responsible for costs involved with volunteers missing their flights or not being able to travel due to outdated passports or other travel documents.
