2020 Coronavirus Update: Click to read

To get you back in the mission field as soon as possible, we are planning trips and dates for 2021. Our team is prepared for each trip and will be ready to send you as soon as we have confirmation that it’s reasonably safe and possible to go. Given the fluidity of conditions during COVID-19, we will keep you updated if any dates change.

Wolkite, Ethiopia

April 13 - 25, 2021

In 2017, a QHM mission team landed on the ground in Wolkite, Ethiopia. After a few hours’ drive from the airport in Addis Ababa through brown and rocky terrain, they arrived at the site of their mission project. For the next week and a half, the team forged friendships with their Ethiopian partners in the church as they all worked together to introduce the surrounding, impoverished community to Jesus.

Now it’s your turn to join us in Wolkite and minister to a town that’s eagerly awaiting our return. At the end of the evangelism meetings three years ago, 109 new believers were baptized in the river as hundreds more watched and celebrated with them. Crowds of people had piled and squeezed in to large, flatbed trucks to ride to the riverbank for the baptism, it was incredible to see!

With your help, the work that was started then will be continued—and the impact will be so much greater if you’re willing to answer God’s call to go!

Pastor Tadesse Adugna, President of the
Eastern Ethiopia Union, shared that, “Even with working full time before the sun rises, to the darkness, many people are not able to feed themselves. They go hungry for days so that their children may have food for another day. They need hope and the knowledge that there is something better than the life they are experiencing on earth.”

This year, QHM has provided funds to begin on a church construction project in Wolkite—they will need your help to complete it when you arrive! Will you bring the hope the people in Wolkite are yearning for?

Team Member Experience

Though this trip needs to be confirmed before we send team members, we encourage you to register and save your spot! If you’d like to wait until the dates are confirmed to make your donations, you may still register and we will send you updates.

Trip Information

Your mission with Quiet Hour Ministries focuses on personal connection. You will serve alongside local church members to minister to precious people in their communities. Your team member donation completely supplies for you to be on the team, so you won’t have any extra expenses for airfare, lodging, food or onsite transportation. But it’s even more than that! Just as importantly, your contribution also increases the impact of the project by helping provide on-site outreach resources, transportation, equipment and more.

Because of your donation, more people will have the opportunity to meet Jesus. You will take home the joy of creating new friendships and building partnerships. You’ll be a witness to the power of the Holy Spirit working in lives throughout the world.
